A new exciting school-related community event was launched this spring in Western Albemarle County — ArtFest in the West.
On March 2, 2013, the Performing and Visual Arts programs at Western Albemarle High School, Henley Middle School, and Western-feeder elementary schools were showcased during a special evening of student performances, featuring:

Members of WAHS Orchestra
Cast of WAHS “Little Shop of Horrors”
Visual Art from WAHS, Henley and Elementary Schools
A dessert buffet was prepared by CATEC Culinary Arts students.
ArtFest is a community campaign for the arts in the West. All proceeds raised will help support Western arts, including new uniforms for WAHS band, drama department productions, musical instruments, visual arts supplies, and other arts program support.
